As of the date of this alert, there are no cases reported in Maryland but there has been 1 case each in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
If your child has been getting ByHeart formula, you should
immediately discontinue and switch to another appropriate infant formula. There is nothing to do if your child is feeding and behaving normally. There are no blood or stool tests advised for children who have consumed the formula and are symptom free.
Please contact us immediately if your child is experiencing
poor feeding (taking much less than usual), loss of head control, difficulty swallowing, or decreased facial expression.
